Wolves have completed the signing of Bury’s goal keeper Jack Ruddy, Sky Sports reports.
The 18-year old signed a two year deal at Mollineux with an option of an extra year. He would not be able to train with the senior team, based on the report. He would have to start his development with the Under 23 side. The Under 19 Scotland international joined Bury back in 2014 from Spanish club Real Murcia. Before he left, he could only pull in one appearance for the Shakers.
“I’m over the moon to be here and to have joined such a big club with really big ambitions. I have really enjoyed my time at Bury and want to thank everyone there for what they have done for me, but the interest from Wolves was always going to be very exciting,” the excited young lad said.
Ruddy is obviously a big fan of the side as he mentioned that Wolves are a side with history of goalkeepers like Matt Murray, Wayne Hennessey and Carl Ikeme. He seemed happy to get a path to develop as others despite being a young goalkeeper. He is obviously happy that the manager of the club was also a goalkeeper.
