League One club Bury have confirmed that they will not be interested in any kind of investment coming in from Scottish club Rangers. It has been rumoured in the last couple of days that League One club Bury could be set for a takeover by the consortium that led to the successful bid for Scottish club Rangers. It is very much expected that Rangers could be relegated from the Scottish Premier league after falling into administration last season. However, the club are looking at the possibility of playing in the League One next season by taking over Bury.
They, however, are not looking at the possibility of playing at the home ground of Bury. Hence, all the League One fixtures will be played at Ibrox. It has infuriated the board members at Bury, who have categorically denied any involvement in the deal. Scottish giants Celtic and Rangers have often been interested in playing in England and the English leagues due to the financial riches on offer. A way for Rangers could be finally opened in this way, but Bury, who are located just outside Manchester, have denied any deal with the club located 320 km away in the north of Britain.
